We all have a Father and a Mother God within us; the merging of these energies results in spiritual awakening, says Prashant Solomon.
Recently, I had a very powerful dream, a dream in which I was in a strange realm, where I could feel something called the 'female healing energy' or FHE. This energy represents the feminine aspect of creation and is crucial for the process of healing.
It is clear — from the knowledge I acquired in that dream state — that all created beings have been made not only male or female — but male and female.
Each of us has a masculine and feminine side. The Chinese call this feminine side, Yin, and the masculine side, Yang. To become whole, we need to balance our Yin and Yang. The Divine Mother shows us how to do this. We all have aspects of both Father God and Mother God within us. Paramahansa Yogananda writes in Autobiography of a Yogi, "The Divine Mother is as much an aspect of God as the Heavenly Father."
Our feminine side is creative, intuitive, sensitive, nurturing, comforting, caring and patient. The Divine Mother is the healer as well as the teacher. Our masculine side, on the other hand, is associated with reasoning and being analytical. The Heavenly Father is power, strength, protection and discipline. Our spiritual awakening comes from a merging of our divine masculine and feminine energies deep within our being. The opposites unite within us and help us find our spiritual centre.
Through weakness, we gain strength, through surrendering to dullness, we find creativity, and when we are receptive, we manifest abundance!
We should not resist uniting with our FHE. Resistance only causes struggle and pain in our daily experiences in this era of global spiritual awakening. As we discover the balance of Yin and Yang within us, a wholeness and harmony envelopes us and we radiate that warm and peaceful energy to others around us.
The Divine Mother element of God is something that quite frankly, I was not very familiar with until I experienced it in my dream. In that realm of existence, healing of beings was done swiftly and smoothly through the FHE that resides within us. The FHE is a part of the female aspect within us. It is akin to a mother's tender love that nurtures our soul's growth and provides us warmth and comfort. It is the female aspect of our creation that gives us feeling and intuition, and it is precisely this that heals us.
Paramahansa Yogananda, using the analogy of the Garden of Eden suggests that Adam is reason and Eve is feeling, and it is in the union of these elements that we exist as humans.
Just imagine a female deity of your choice or just feel the Motherly Love that the universe gives you freely and you can do healing wonders through that energy of the Divine Mother.
As I woke up, I saw a small porcelain statue of Mother Mary in my room and felt instinctively drawn towards it. I kissed it and held it close to my chest. I felt the love of the Divine Mother and felt the FHE flow within me.

Life is multi dimensional in nature
I believe in other dimensions. Each and every living being in the universe is multi-dimensional in nature. We all experience these other dimensions when we dream and die and also during an out of body experience (OBE).
It's not that difficult to understand the concept really. Imagine a television set in your living room. You are sitting there and watching say the History channel. You are not enjoying it at the moment and you change the channel to Discovery. Now what you see on your screen is the Discovery channel. Soon you get bored and change it to CNN. But what we often do not realise while we are doing this, but we understand the concept immediately when we think about it is that even though we have changed the channel, the show still goes on! Even though we change to Discovery, the History channel remains in the background and the show continues regardless of whether we are watching or not. Same way, Discovery continues when we change it to CNN. So, here we are dancing around different frequencies. In my mind, dimensions are simply different frequencies of existence and not much different from the concept of the TV channels.
Scientists are now open to the idea of several dimensions and even of a multi-dimensional universe called the 'Multiverse'. Read a book called 'Hyperspace' by the Japanese-American physicist Dr. Michio Kaku. It also discusses the concept of a multi-dimensional universe which contains up to around 11 dimensions or even more.
The truth is simple. It's all about dimensions! If you do good, you go to a higher dimension and then higher and higher. If you do bad, you go to a lower dimension and so on. Heaven and hell exist right here, right now, just like the airwaves exist simultaneously but at different frequencies. Heaven and Hell are just different frequencies. There are many heavens and many hells and many in-between worlds.
We are multi-dimensional spiritual beings that currently are in this dimension having a human experience.
There are infinite places in all the dimensions for us to explore and learn and experience all the rich and elaborate creation that the Creator has made. Enjoy it!

Tsunami Dreams blog
My post at http://sonael.wordpress.com/2006/07/23/tsunami-dreams/ (An interesting blog I found on Tsunami dreams)
Wow! First of all I would like to say thanks to the one who started this blog. It is comforting to know that there are so many of us who are having the same or at least very similar dreams involving tsunamis. I have been having these dreams since the year 2000 when I was living in Encino, California. Now, ten years later, I am back to my home in New Delhi, India, but still having these dreams, the most recent one being last night. From reading this blog it is clear that these tsunami dreams are occurring across the globe irrespective of nationalities or proximity to the coastline.
Reading the very first post by the creator of this blog, I noticed the similarity to my own dreams. In my dreams as well, there is generally an element of being inside a building but with an exterior element as well. This means either inside a balcony/podium/terrace/verandah, etc. Or inside a room with glass windows and generally a large glass window (though not always – once I was in a small apartment in an apartment building in Mumbai with very small iron-barred windows as the monster wave approached).
However, I have also had a few dreams where I am on a beach.
There is one element, however, that I have noticed that so far I have not read on this blog and I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. In my dreams the waves come in threes. There are always three waves in my dreams. First comes a decently large wave (maybe about 100 feet high), then comes a smaller wave (usually about 50-60 feet high). Then there is a stillness - a lull before the monster wave. Most of the time after the first two waves hit (I always see the first two waves actually hitting or breaking) there is a brief moment of relief in which I think the worst is over and then in a few minutes, I can see the monster wave approaching in the horizon, often it takes on the role of the sky itself. It looks to be several miles high as it approaches. There is terror at this time as people begin to run away with the false hope that they can actually outrun this monster. I have never seen this wave actually break, but it is constantly being formed as it approaches me. I always get up seconds before I would be engulfed!
Another interesting detail is that each dream is in a different location. I have been on beaches, hotels and buildings all around the world. Some of the locations were clearly in the US, some in Europe (one of them was clearly in the Mediterranean), some in South America. The most recent dream I had was last night in which my younger brother and I were in Kanyakumari, which is the southern most tip of the Indian peninsula. It is a point that is unique in many ways as it is where three major water bodies meet – The Bay of Bengal, The Indian Ocean and The Arabian Sea. Each water body is clearly identifiable as each water body is a different color. Now here is the weird part. Though it is Kanyakumari, we were standing on a mountain top or a very high cliff overlooking the Thiruvalluvar statue (however though I ‘knew’ consciously in my mind that the Vivekananda Shrine should also be there, it wasn’t) and many parts of the land were already covered in crystal clear water. Also, it was clearly the future as there were very tall buildings there, which do not really exist. The whole scene could also have been an amalgamation of various settings – the cliff or mountain like place we were standing also reminds me of Rio De Janeiro’s mountain where the Christ Redeemer statue is located. The skyscrapers could have been from New York or the Far East.
Okay, so what does all this mean? I feel there is something more to it than meets the eye. If there are so many of us having these dreams with so much similarity, it is obviously part of the Jungian collective unconsciousness, but maybe it’s not that simple. There is a deeply spiritual element to all of this. Why is it that many of the people who are having these dreams – myself included – are spiritually minded individuals? Perhaps there is an element of reaching the next level spiritually that is happening here. Maybe as some others have said, this could be a premonition of the changes that many believe will occur in 2012. So what kind of changes are these and how do these changes affect us?
First things first, you can’t outrun a tsunami (especially the monster that we all seem to have seen) – so don’t even bother trying. That being said, let us take a closer look at what we are seeing. The so-called 2012 end of the world ‘as we know it’ hypothesis could be just that – it could be the elevation of our spiritual consciousness to the next level. Maybe the destruction of earth’s land mass would mean that we would begin to exist at a higher dimensional level. So maybe our impending ‘death’ is more of a ‘birth’ in a higher level spiritually. Just like the unborn baby has to leave its world in the womb to step into a larger world (and this process is a struggle for the fetus) so must we have to ‘struggle’ a bit before we evolve into a higher spiritual existence. So maybe these dreams are making us recognize this coming change and maybe they are trying to prepare us for this. I believe that the fact that so many of us are experiencing these dreams can only mean that these are not coming from some sub-conscious memories that neurologists would like you to believe but from some higher plane of intelligence or consciousness or simply put, a higher spiritual plane.
I think that we who are experiencing these dreams are fortunate. We are getting a heads up to an approaching event that might be physical in nature in the form of a meteorite shower that will cause global mega-tsunamis or it could be a non-physical event in the form of the shift to a higher frequency of spiritual energy that could be scary, but will work out for the best in the final analysis. Or it could be both. Anyways as evident from this blog, we will not be alone when all this happens.

Eight Morals or Rules - by Palden Dorje (The Buddha Boy)
I was reading about Palden Dorje - the Buddha Boy from Nepal who in 2005 was widely regarded as the Buddha incarnate. He himself denies this saying he does not have "the Buddha's energy". But I found these eight morals or rules laid down by him to be very significant in our turbulent times.
1. The world should avoid discriminating against other human beings according to their caste, religion, gender and color etc.
2. The world should respect the religions of others and should strictly avoid comparing one’s own or another’s religion as superior or inferior.
3. The world should not follow the religious or irreligious doctrinal principles which are harmful or discriminative of caste, religion, gender, societies, fame and income etc.
4. The world should avoid dividing nations by labeling them as friends or enemies.
5. The world should avoid practicing negative actions and other actions which are inhuman and wicked.
6. The world should stop exaggerating (i.e. claiming to have achieved enlightenment or other forms which are not attained) and devaluation (i.e. by ignorance or jealousy making somebody or something seem quite less important than that person or thing really is).
7. The world should practice the three training principles: discipline, concentration and wisdom as well as dedicating their life to serving society and the nation.
8. The world should strive to attain perfect enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings.

Interesting article for fiction writers - how to create a plot for novel writers
A very interesting article on Suite 101 about the five elements of plot creation in novel writing. Hopefully, it helps in dealing with writing blocks relating to plots, which is apparently the most common form of writer's block.

Atomic universes and universal atoms
Could our universe be like an atom compared to a much larger universe? Could an atom be a universe compared to a much smaller universe?
Think of it. What if our whole universe - including all the galactic clusters, galaxies, stars, planets, moons and everything else in it was just a tiny little atom in comparison with a much larger Macro-universe.
On the other hand, imagine that the tiniest little atom was an entire mini-universe with its own variants of galactic clusters, galaxies, stars, planets, moons but happening at a microscopic scale that is so small that it is not observable to us.
Are these just fantasies? Or is there a possibility that all these things were possible, that existence could be layered into several layers of small within large universes on an unending scale both ways.
There is an episode of Cosmos, where the legendary astrophysicist Dr. Carl Sagan asks a similar question.
What if?
